Important International Events For The Week 08 July – 13 July 2012:

Important events are main drivers for capital market.Since last week we have started a week end post based on important event across the world which can create volatility in the markets.

Time of events is as per Indian Standard Time (IST).

Important Events From United States:

Unlike last week,this week is of mild events as far USD is concerned.

  • US Trade Balance:Its difference between imported and exported goods & services.Positive number indicates that more goods and services were exported than imported.Expectations for this weak are of lower number than expected.If true then its bearish news for USD.This data will be released on Wednesday,July 11,2012 , 6:00 PM (IST).
  • FOMC Meeting Minutes: These minutes are detailed records of policy decisions.The minutes will be released on Wednesday,11:30 PM, IST.
  • Crude Oil Inventory: Crude oil inventory for the week will be declared on Wednesday,11 July 8:00 pm.It has instant effect on crude oil prices.
  • Initial Jobless Claims: It measures the number of individuals who filed for unemployed insurance for the first time during past week.Forecast is of slightly higher number of initial jobless claims than previous week.Data will be released on Thursday 6:00 PM IST.
  • Natural Gas inventory: Natural gas inventory of the week will be declared on Thursday 8:00 PM.

Events From EuroZone:

  • A thin data of Industrial production from French & Italy will be released on Tuesday 10th July 2012,,12:15 PM and 1:30 PM as per Indian standard time.
  • Medium important data from German, Consumer Price Index (CPI) will be declared on Wednesday July 11,2012.It measures the changes in the prices of goods and services purchased by consumers.Expectations are of constant CPI at -0.1%.Higher than expected reading is bullish for Euro.
  • Similarly CPI data from French will be released on Thursday,11:00 AM IST.
  • Industrial Production Release:This is of medium important release and it measures the change in total inflation – adjusted value of output produced by manufactures ,mines and utilities.Forecast is of improvement in the industrial production.If release is better tha expectations then bullish news for Euro.
  • European Central Bank (ECB) president Speaks : on Thursday 12 July 10:30 pm IST.Volatility always created due to comments from such high level speech.

Important Data Release From China:

  • Chinese CPI:This is of high importance data release and measures the changes in the purchasing trends.Expectations are of constant Chinese CPI to be declared on,09th July,7:00 AM.As China is biggest importer of base metals important releases from China have direct impact on base metal prices.
  • China GDP data:This is another high important release from China.Forecast is of lower numbers of 7.6% against earlier 8.1%.
  • Chninese Industrial Production:Its of higher importance data and forecast is of slighly increase in the industrial productions from 9.6% to 9.8%.

Important Events From India:

  • Industrial Manufacturing Output: This is mild data release and rising number indicates the economic growth.It will be released on Thursday , 11:00 AM (IST).
  • Indian Industrial Production:IIP data  is important data release for Indian stock market and Indian Rupees.It measures the change in the total inflation-based value of output produced by manufactures ,mines and utilities.IIP data  will be released on Thursday,11:00 AM IST.
  • Indian Bank Loan Growth:This is mild data release and will be released on Friday ,5:00 pm IST.Higher loan growth is considered to be higher consumer confidence.
  • Indian FX Reserves USD:This is again mild release and will be released on Friday 5:00 PM IST.Much more higher numbers than expected is good for Indian Rupees.
